Renovating can be a fun and fulfilling experience, particularly when you are renovating your own home and have control over what, how and where everything goes. And, with the explosion in popularity of reality TV shows such as The Block and House Rules, renovating has not only become “trendy” but a rite of passage for homeowners!

While there is much you can do yourself, such as painting and tiling, there are other things best left to experts. Things like rewiring or installation of lighting can be fraught with danger if you are not an accredited professional.
