Our Recent Government Electrical Project for the City of Port Phillip

The Alert Electrical team recently completed a government electrical project for the City of Port Phillip, working on their beloved Heritage Building at St Kilda Town Hall. Our reliable and friendly staff arrived promptly on-site, equipped with industry-leading tools and a determined attitude to tackle the job thrown our way.

The role of the Alert Electrical team was to install 2 x 10-metre-long strip lights in the lunchroom of the Heritage Building, running off 2 existing trapeze switchers. Here, each light had 2 drivers controlling 2 strips.

Throughout the installation, our electricians found that all lights had a solder join at the 5m mark where the 2 sections joined, as a result, all the pre-soldered joins were snapped and had to be resoldered in order to function properly.

At first, the solder joins were noticeably weak, however, once the job was done, all lights were working exceptionally. The project was completed in accordance with the timing and budget requirements of the client.

Working on this job for the City of Port Phillip was an honour for the Alert Electrical tram and we are very proud of how it turned out.
